Peniche, a fishing town, famous for its fabulous surfing and windsurfing is a 15-minute drive. Surfing enthusiasts should check out Super Tubos in Peniche and the surf-schools in Baleal. Peniche also has excellent traditional Portuguese restaurants overlooking the marina.
This is an ideal location to visit the many places of cultural and historical interest in the region including Lisbon, Sintra, Obidos, Fatima, Nazare and Sao Martinho do Porto.
